Love at First Sight

It was June 2013. I was working for Skechers USA and they had an annual Store Manager Appreciation Conference in LA.

I was so stoked to go! I had just turned 21 and I was so ready to have a good time! The first night they had a party, Las Vegas Nights! There was a live band, everyone was on the dance floor having such a blast! 

That’s when it happened. 

My life was forever changed.

Is it actually possible? In all the movies they show two strangers locking eyes with each other from across a crowded room-there's an electric spark, instant attraction and bam they are together forever. 

I grabbed my girlfriends and I pull them aside and I say “wow, look how hot this guy is!” 

They said make your move Mama and shoved me in his direction. 

Heart pounding, sweat dripping.. mouth drying up as I take each step towards HIM. 

“So what makes you so special that you get to have gauges?” 

What just came out of my mouth? I’m such a bitch

(At Skechers you can’t wear earrings that are bigger than a #2 pencil) 

“I just told all of my friends you were the most beautiful girl here.” 

Ok. Drop the motha fuckin’ mic. 

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT IS REAL! 

I was speechless. 

I have found the man of my dreams I said to myself. 

"what??" I said 

"i'm not sure how I get away with gauges!" 

UM. I know.. you're perfect. 

okay, okay I know that's shallow of me but i'm talking to my future husband here!! 

ok back on track.

The next day we had a managers meeting and they were doing a giveaway. They were calling out names randomly and giving away iPads! Well low and behold guess who is name gets called up onto stage!

TYSON! 

I start saying to all my fellow managers THAT’S HIM!!! 

After the managers meeting we met up with each other and jokingly I said “hey, where’s my iPad!?” 

he said I was so stoked to win this! I couldn’t wait to give it to you. 

Okeeeyy whatever. 

Ladies, he gave me the iPad !! 

Who does that! 

The man of your dreams does that! 

Well that was it.

I knew the moment I met him on the dance floor he would be my future husband. 

Since the day Tyson and I met, we have talked or been together every single day.
